SCHOOL: Oregon State University - Cascades Campus

I graduated with my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Western Michigan University where I ran track and swam. I completed commissioning through the Marine Corps and transferred to the National Guard where I serve in the Oregon Army National Guard’s 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team.  From late 2005-2007, the Oregon Guard sent my unit to help in New Orleans immediately after Hurricane Katrina and then was deployed to Afghanistan.

Currently, I serve as the commander of Headquarters & Headquarters Troop and Troop D (Forward Support Company), 1-82 Cavalry in Bend, OR.

In my spare time, I have competed on the All-Army Armed Forces Championship Cross Country Team, the United States Military Pentathlon Team, the Oregon National Guard Biathlon Team, and for five National Guard Marathon National Championship Teams.
