The A/PA Education Office provides the
following programs throughout the academic year. If you are interested

Consisting of students and faculty, the board
meets once a month to discuss ways to improve the development
and implementation of cultural and educational programs that will
better serve the A/PA community.

An outreach program to A/PA middle school students
who may feel isolated or disconnected from traditional mainstream
educational settings. A/PA students from OSU will serve
as mentors for the youths where they meet with their mentees for
various educational and cultural activities.

Offered at the beginning of every term, chat session
is designed for new students to get to know eacfh other and "helpful
people" on campus who can help you succeed. The session
provides survival tips on campus, resources available on campus
and in the community, ways to get involved, and a chance for new
students to ask questions and get them answered!

Students who are majoring/minoring in Ethnic Studies
are required to do an internship, involving ethnic communities.
A/PA Education Office can provide assistance in fulfilling the
graduation requirement by providing an internship opportunity
in the office or helping identify internship sites.

The office also provides cultural and educational
programs. Examples of programs offered include: racism
workshops, resume writing/interviewing skills workshop in conjunction
with Career Services, scholarship application workshop, etc.

The office is committed to the health of the community
by sponsoring events such as A/PA Student & Faculty Reception,
"Day of Remembrance" educational
programs, A/PA Heritage Month Activities,
and A/PA Graduation Ceremony.
