The Western Region Agricultural Education Research Conference is
a professional event in which the research in agricultural education
and extension education is disseminated to the profession. Agricultural
education professionals from throughout the western region of the
United States and around the world submit their most recent research
for presentation at the annual research meeting.
Each paper that is received is sent to three agricultural educators
as part of the blind review process. Only those papers that receive
favorable reviews are accepted for presentation and for publication
of the proceedings of the meeting. During January of 2003 there were
38 papers submitted for consideration. A distinguished group of 29
researchers served as reviewers for the papers.
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the top 24 papers
were accepted for presentation at the 2003 Western Region Agricultural
Education Research Conference. The review process resulted in an acceptance
rate of 63.16%.
