About McMenamins Edgefield

Edgefield, originally built as the Multnomah County Poor Farm, signified a place of healing and refuge; a retreat where people found solace and rehabilitation through honest work. Today, Edgefield continues this tradition. Located at the mouth of the Columbia River Gorge, one of the most beautiful areas in the world, Edgefield represents a serene and healthful environment. Like the original Poor Farm, Edgefield produces many of its own items including fresh ales, wines (some of which are made from grapes grown on property), flowers, herbs, fruits and vegetables.

Edgefield is 20 minutes from Downtown Portland and 5 minutes from the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area.

The Portland International Airport is 11 miles (13 minutes) from Edgefield and transportation is available via Blue Star Shuttle or Taxi.
