Make application during fall term prior to the academic year you wish to begin your program. Two applications are required; one to the School of Education (due to 112 Strand by February 14) and one to the Graduate School. All application materials can be picked up in 112 Strand.

Minimum 3.0 GPA required to advance to the Professional program.

Depth and breadth in agriculture courses requirement met.

Minimum 60 hours of Early Field Experience time, with Supervised Agriculture Experience Programs (SAEP) and the FFA as a part of the Agricultural Science and Technology (AST) program (minimum of 40 classroom hours) (see AED 313).

Minimum 8 formal classroom lessons taught (see AED 313).

Exposure to and observation of students with a culturally diverse background (see AED 313).

Exposure to and observation of students with special needs (see AED 313).

California Basic Educational Skills test (CBEST) to be completed by spring term prior to student teaching.

PRAXIS test in Agriculture (CA #10900) to be completed by spring term prior to student teaching.

Meet with program advisor.
