ABOUT US
The Silver Talons Drill Team is an extra cirricular organization within
AFROTC Det 685 at Oregon
State University.
The team has a rigorous training schedule. They train for a minimum
of three hours each week in Armed Regulation and Exhibition Drill as
well as Color Guard Procedures. The team marches in local parades in
the area each year and competes in exhibition drill nationally in California
near the end of the Winter Term. To get the team's name out in the local
community and recruit for AFROTC, they perform exhibition drills at
local high schools and at military organization events. They perform
a Color Guard Ceremony at each AFROTC Leadership Laboratory. Besides
drill, they are involved in many fundraising activities to raise money
for equipment and events the team will be involved in.
