Ladies and Gentleman,

Congratulations on your decision to attend Detachment 685’s New Student Orientation (NSO) program! During NSO I will be supervising the three AS 300 trainers who will be instructing you on the basics of Drill and Ceremonies and Military Customs and Courtesies. Your trainers will be some of the best cadets that Detachment 685 has to offer. They are a highly motivated and professional group of cadets dedicated to providing you with the best introduction to Air Force ROTC. During NSO 2010 we will be covering various Air Force fundamentals such as: Basic Drill, Customs and Courtesies as well as working to develop and instill a strong sense of teamwork and warrior spirit that will stick with you as you progress as an Air Force ROTC cadet. The lessons and experiences you receive from NSO 2010 will be key in your success as a first year cadet at Detachment 685. I look forward to seeing all of you in the fall at Oregon State University.
