Captain Josh S. Burnett is the Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies and the Operations Flight Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC), Detachment 685 at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon. Captain Burnett is responsible for all facets of cadet training and discipline, including directing/supervising leadership laboratory, field training preparation, military discipline and career guidance. He also teaches the AS300 course. Captain Burnett entered active duty service in 2009, commissioning through AFROTC at Detachment 425, Mississippi State University. Prior to arriving at Oregon State University Detachment 685, Captain Burnett was assigned to the 673d Communications Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK. Captain Burnett has served in a variety of positions to include Executive Officer to the Commander of both the 673d Mission Support Group and the 673d Air Base Wing.
