Field Crews

Seasonally, we recruit for Experimental Biological Aid positions for sampling redband trout in southeast Oregon, Warner suckers in the Warner Valley, and Oregon chub in the Willamette Valley. When a position becomes open or available, a recruitment notice will be posted on this page.

All of our positions typically require working in all types of weather conditions and hiking up to 10 miles per day in remote, rugged terrain.  Some positions will require camping. Employees will be responsible for accurately recording field data, maintaining equipment, and using hand held computers to locate sample sites.  Additional duties may include contacting landowners, entering data into computer databases and writing field reports.

Salary: $1,979/month; may be higher depending on previous employment in this classification.  Health, dental, and life insurance benefits available for positions lasting longer than 3 months.
