Department: Small Farms
Duties: As part of the statewide OSU Small Farms Program I help coordinate educational events for beginning and small-scale farmers in the North Willamette Valley as well as participating in on farm research projects.
I also participate in research involving cover crop and nutrient management in vegetable production and CROPTIME, a vegetable crop planning tool that will provide degree-day models for many vegetable varieties.
Research Interests: I am interested in small scale and sustainable fruit and vegetable production. Focusing on practices to help manage insect and disease pests by maintaining healthy soils, healthy plants and economically healthy farmers.
