As a member of the state-wide Small Farms Team I provide general small farms advice and access to OSU resources to small farmers in Clackamas, Washington and Multnomah Counties. I provide state-wide support in Horticultural crops with a focus on organic and ecological vegetable production, working closely with producers accessing niche markets or using direct marketing channels. Current programs include fertility management, cover crops, and vegetable insect pest management. I develop decision-making tools, conduct applied research, organize and deliver workshops, and contribute to the OSU Small Farms website and the Oregon Small Farm News. |
