July Weather in Corvallis
July is our summer here. Frequently our Junes are coolish with some gray skies, but normally summer starts by the 4th of July. It should be within the range of 70-90 degrees F. during the day, most probably around 80-85, which is warm but not extremely hot, cooling down comfortably in the evening; we usually have bright sunshine and it's normally dry all of July and August. So, light summer wear is appropriate, with a suit jacket or sweater for the evenings. The conference center and hotels will be air conditioned, meaning that it will be comfortable to wear a suit and tie for your presentation if you want to, but many of the buildings on campus are not, which gives you an indication that while it's warm in the summer, it doesn't usually get too sweltering. Occasionally we will get a hot day, up to 100 F, but it's pretty rare and since it's not humid and cools down in the evening, it's tolerable.
For trips to the coast or the mountains a warm coat is highly recommended.
