Jane Mangold

Dr. Mangold is a Restoration Ecologist for USDA-Agricultural Research Service in Burns, OR.  After receiving her BS (1994) in Biology from Iowa State University, she completed her MS (1997) at Montana State University in Abused Land Rehabilitation and her PhD (2004) at Montana State University in Land Resources and Environmental Sciences.  Dr. Mangold joined the research group at Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center in July 2004. 

Dr. Mangold’s research focuses on restoration of degraded range and wild lands.  Her specific interests include understanding biotic and abiotic factors that influence seedling establishment, increasing native plant diversity in “old fields” of introduced pasture grasses, revegetating noxious weed-infested range and wild land, and restoring juniper-encroached sagebrush-steppe.
