Advanced Administration

A shared calendar is a calendar that has more than one person providing input, and, potentially, more than one person administering it. It can be as simple as one or two people handling a departmental calendar, to an organized group of people who collectively maintain the very large calendar systems you find at the main OSU calendar located at http://calendar.oregonstate.edu.

The functions of a shared calendar are the same as those of a personal calendar, but the greater level of complexity that accompanies multi-calendar, and multi-user, administration can sometimes prove to be quite difficult.

The articles in this section take the functional instruction provided at the personal level, and apply them in increasing dimensions.  Attention will be paid to things such as: how to request a shared calendar, managing multiple users, making the best use of layers, and how to troubleshoot some common problems associated with recurring events and multiple calendar submissions.
