The following article explains how to access different Views within the OSU Events Calendar utilizing both the Basic and Advanced Interfaces.
Before getting started, a definition of a View is probably in order.
Quite simply, a View is the manner in which information is displayed. In the context of the OSU Events Calendar, we're generally talking in terms of Days, Weeks, and Months.

View Toggle Tools
The OSU Events Calendar is full of many different ways to view calendar information. A need to change views may arise, depending on the activity of the calendar the user is involved with. The way to change these Views is by using a tool called a View Toggle.
Let's start off at the beginning, for both Interfaces, the Basic (at left) and Advanced (at right).
For the Basic Interface, the View Toggle consists of the word links: Today, This Week, and This Month, which are located to the left of the screen beneath the Mini-Calendar.
For the Advanced Interface, the View Toggle contains icons located at the upper right hand side of the screen slightly above and to the left of the Mini-Calendar.
In all views, information regarding any event can be found by left-clicking on the event title to open the Event Detail.

Day View
By default, when visiting the OSU Events Calendar, if the user is not logged into ONID, the default View will be the Today View, using the Basic Interface, as shown at left. Left-clicking on Today will also return to the user to the Day View.
The Advanced Interface shows something quite different, though. Within this interface, the Day View is shown as a block layout, with the duration of the events represented graphically. This View is best used for personal calendars or for calendars which do not have a large quantity of simultaneous events occurring.
At any point while using the Advanced Interface, to return to a list View, just left click the Event List icon, shown at the immediate right. This will return the user to the Event List View, where events are displayed in a sequential list.

Week View
In the Basic Interface, the user can select a Week View simply by clicking on the This Week link, in the View Toggle, which is beneath the Mini-Calendar. This will filter out the events only for that chosen week.
In the Advanced Interface, the Weekly View can be displayed by left-clicking on the Week icon. This view is a grid, much like the previous Day View, except the grid displays 7 days, side-by-side, with only event titles and starting times. No event duration and no Mini-Calendar appear in this view .

Month View
In the Basic Interface, the user can select a Month View by left-clicking on the This Month link, located in the View Toggle, beneath the Mini-Calendar. When the Month View is selected, all events for that month will be filtered in the customary, sequential Event List.
In the Advanced Interface, the Month View can be displayed by left-clicking on the Month icon, as shown at right. This view is laid out much like a wall calendar, with a grid of 7 columns and 4 to 6 rows, depending on the length of the month. This particular view can get very large on active calendars.
