How do I remove the "Submitted by" information?

By default, all Drupal node types, except for Page, are configured to show Post information when the node is posted.  This Post information takes the form of "Submitted by..." and then includes the username of the author and a date stamp.

This information can be hidden by a site administrator on a node type basis.

To change the Post settings, do the following:

  1. In the Admin menu at the top of your screen, go to Site building > Themes > Configure > Global settings
  2. Once on the Global settings panel locate the Display post information on group on the right side of the screen
  3. To show post information, check any boxes next to the desired content type, to hide post information, uncheck the desired boxes
  4. After all choices are made, click the Save configuration button at the bottom of the screen

Please be aware that when custom content types are created, the default Post setting status is enabled.  This means, when creating a custom content type, you must follow the process above to hide the post setting information.
