The blogs.oregonstate.edu installation was upgraded last evening. This upgrade includes:
- Latest version of the core Wordpress MU code
- Latest version of the Sociable plugin
- Lifting the restriction on embed and object tags to allow video from any 3rd party source to be included in blog posts and pages

The production Drupal 6 websites were updated to the latest version of Drupal 6 yesterday afternoon.
This release includes the following updates:
- Various layout and CSS fixes for the OSU Grey theme
- Latest versions for the following modules: Embedded Media Field, File Field, Image Field, IMCE, Pathauto, Site Map, Link, CCK, and Views
- Updating OSU Single Sign-On module to the latest version
- Adding code to support CWS hosted Urchin and University Advancement's Google Analytics instance to OSU Orange and OSU Grey

Select services have been restored to CWS web hosting. These services include ssh and sftp and write access for most applications like Drupal. Regular FTP access remains disabled. If you need information on accessing your site via FTP, please visit the CWS Getting Access webpage.
For access from off-campus locations, please use the VPN client. Information on using a VPN connection can be found on the CWS Getting Access webpage or from Network Engineering.
Central Web Services web servers were subject to an attack this
weekend. Due to this, a number of services have been
temporarily disabled to CWS sites, including ssh and ftp
access. Personnel are currently working to clean up this
incident. Central Web Services hosts oregonstate.edu and many
other sites in the oregonstate.edu domain.
For users accessing a web page, you may receive a message that
states something similar to: "Warning: Visiting this
site may harm your computer...site contains malware"

We released an updated version of Drupal into the development
environment on Thursday, October 22nd.
The update includes:
- Various theme fixes for OSU Orange, including
- Images no longer have a default gray border
- Various theme fixes for OSU Grey, including
- Corrected IE6 issue for custom view content width
- Latest version of the Emfield module
- Fix for a search problem when an image was used as the search button (existed in OSU Orange and some custom themes)
- Copyright and Disclaimer links on OSU Themes
- Various 508 accessibility fixes to OSU Themes

All of the development Drupal 5 and 6 websites have been updated to the latest version of OSU Drupal. We will be pushing the changes to production websites on Wednesday (9/30/2009) evening.
This upgrade includes the following updates to Drupal 6:
- Upgrade to Drupal 6.14
- Fix Cache Router unlink issue
- Fix display issue with embedded videos and Nice Menus (for all newly added videos)
- Fix glossary links
- Upgrade TinyMCE to 3.2.7
- Upgraded Drupal Modules to the latest version - Date (2.4), Cache Router (1.0-rc1), EMField (1.4), and Site Map (1.1)

CWS has launched our new website using OSU Drupal 6. We plan to add additional information to our website in the coming weeks.
Central Web Services is pleased to announce the release of a new Drupal 6 class. Starting in October, you can take Generating Custom Content Types.

What is changing?
ONID personal web sites, previously available at http://oregonstate.edu/~username, have been moved to their own web site at http://people.oregonstate.edu/~username on September 14th.
Group web sites, previously available at http://oregonstate.edu/groups/groupname, will be moving to the people.oregonstate.edu domain. For all new and incoming groups, you will be placed in the people domain. For existing groups, we will work with you in the migration of your group over.

Blogs.oregonstate.edu was upgraded to the latest version of WordPress MU on Monday, September 14th. The public facing portion of your blog should not be impacted by this upgrade.
