OSU names four TAC and CTL (or CTL supported) honorees at the 2013 University Day Awards dinner. These include: Jon Dorbolo, from Technology Across the Curriculum; Michelle Inderbitzin, the Service Learning Faculty Development Coordinator for the Center for Teaching and Learning; Onyekwere Maduka Ogba, Graduate Teaching Assistant in Chemsitry and a CTL GTA Mentor who designed and led sessions for the 2012 New GTA Orientation; and Vicki Tolar-Burton, Writing Intensive Curriculum Coordinator.

The OSU Alumni Association Distinguished Professor Award is given to the person who demonstrates outstanding professional achievement through teaching and scholarship, service to the university and the community, and professional leadership, nationally and internationally. In 2013, the honor is presented to Bruce McCune, a professor in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology.
The Elizabeth P. Ritchie Distinguished Professor Award recognizes an individual for outstanding undergraduate teaching; research, particularly related to improvement of instruction; and professional leadership. In 2013, the honoree is Michelle Inderbitzen, associate professor with the Department of Sociology.
The D. Curtis Mumford Faculty Service Award recognizes individuals for exceptional, ongoing, dedicated and unselfish concern for and service to OSU faculty. 2013's honoree is Vicki Tolar Burton, professor in the School of Writing, Literature and Film.
The OSU Faculty Teaching Excellence Award honors unusually significant and meritorious achievement in teaching and scholarship which enhances effective instruction. This award is presented in 2013 to John Becker-Blease, assistant professor with the College of Business
The Industry Partnering Award recognizes a faculty member who achieves extraordinarily high impact innovations through research collaborations with industry. This award is presented in 2013 A. Morrie Craig, Director of the OSU Endophyte Testing Laboratory, College of Veterinary Medicine.
The Dar Reese Excellence in Advising Award recognizes outstanding advising of undergraduate students by a member of the OSU faculty, as well as demonstrated success in teaching, research and service. In 2013 the award recognizes David Smith, Wood Science and Engineering, College of Forestry.
The purpose of the International Service Award is to recognize exemplary, on-going contributions of OSU faculty and staff to the internationalization of the university by enhancing student, faculty, and staff awareness and participation in international education, research, and related activities. Leslie Richards from the College of Public Health and Human Sciences is the 2013 receipient.
The University Mentoring and Professional Development Award recognizes those who excel in supporting and encouraging OSU employees to participate in professional and/or educational development opportunities. The 2013 recipient is Susan Shaw, director of the School of Language, Culture and Society.
The Karel J. H. Murphy Professional Faculty Leadership and Service Award honors a professional faculty member who has provided outstanding leadership and service throughout their career both within their department and in programs and organizations across Oregon State University. Keahi McFadden, Assistant to the Executive Director of Campus Operations is the 2013 honoree.
The OSU Award for Outstanding Service to Persons with Disabilities recognizes a person who goes above and beyond requirements of their normal job description to accommodate and assist persons with disabilities. 2013's award is given to Kathryn Magura, Manager of Assignments and Systems with University Housing and Dining Services.
The purpose of the Outstanding Faculty Research Assistant Award is to recognize scholarly achievement and a level of innovation and effort that far exceeds expectations. B. Walton Waldorf, lead field operations engineer for Endurance Array, part of an NSF-funded ocean monitoring network is the 2013 recipient.
The OSU Academic Advising Award recognizes undergraduate academic advising by professional faculty rank as well as fixed-term academic rank faculty whose primary role is advising and acknowledges advising as a profession making a pivotal contribution to the OSU community. In 2013, the honoree is Teri Duever, an academic advisor with the School of Psychological Science.
The Promising Scholar Award recognizes the scholarship of junior faculty. The 2013 recipient is David Berger in the College of Business.
The Excellence in Graduate Mentoring Award honors graduate faculty members who have extraordinary records of excellence and effectiveness in mentoring graduate students. Carl Schreck a courtesy professor in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife, is the 2013 recipient.
The OSU Impact Award for Outstanding Scholarship recognizes OSU faculty who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship in a specific project or activity resulting in substantial impact beyond the university setting. This year's honoree is Staci Simonich a professor with the Department of Environmental and Molecular Toxicology.
The OSU Professional Faculty Excellence Award recognizes exceptional service to the university community by faculty who serve in non-academic units or whose service in an academic unit is not defined within the traditional academic categories of teaching, research, or extension. Eligibility is extended to individuals with professional faculty rank as well as those with academic rank who serve in non-teaching roles (e.g., office managers, Facilities Services managers, fund-raisers, academic advisors, technical support faculty, coaches and athletic administrators, counselors, doctors and health care administrators, librarians, etc.). While such faculty may distinguish themselves in the traditional categories for a portion of their work, the bulk of their work must be in one of the many other areas vital to the functioning of the university. Nominations may be submitted by any faculty, staff, or student member of the university community. This award is presented in 2013 to Jon Dorbolo, Associate Director of Technology across the Curriculum in Media Services.
The Herbert F. Frolander Graduate Teaching Assistant Award recongnizes graduate students who have excelled in their capacity as teaching assistants. For 2013, this honor is given to Onyekwere Maduka Ogba, a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Chemistry.
The OSU Exemplary Employee Award honors one professional faculty member and one classified staff member for their outstanding performance. The 2013 recipients are Rosemary Weidman, Linn County Extension Office, and Blaine Baker a research assistant with the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology.
The Student Learning and Success Teamwork Award recognizes departments or interdisciplinary groups at Oregon State University that have demonstrated exceptional teamwork in creating and sustaining an exemplary teaching and learning environment to advance the university’s strategic goal of student success and excellence. The 2013 award goes to the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife.
The Beaver Champion Award is Oregon State University's President's award for outstanding effort and achievement of excellence, extra effort beyond that requested, and performance of the highest quality. This year's honorees are Donna Chastain, Employee Benefits Manager, and Larry Roper, Vice Provost for Student Affairs.
