SASS-SARPA
The Sexual Assault Response & Prevention Alliance (SARPA) was developed to strengthen and formalize the coordination of services offered by agencies that respond to sexual assaults involving Oregon State University students. Our hope is that these alliances will benefit residents of the greater Corvallis community as well.
Sexual assault is a term that describes all non-consensual sexual contact, and may describe a range of behaviors that violate Oregon State law or the OSU Student Conduct Regulations. Consent is described as a freely given, voluntary, participatory agreement to engage in the sexual activity by all involved.
SARPA participants include representatives from the following agencies:
- Benton County District Attorney's Office Victim Assistance Program
- Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARDV)
- Good Samaritan Hospital
- OSU Department of Public Safety/OSP
- OSU Student Conduct and Community Standards
- OSU Counseling and Psychological Services and Sexual Assault Support Services
- OSU University Housing and Dining Services (Residential Life)
- OSU Student Health Services
- OSU Women's Center
- OSU Dean of Student Life Office
- ASOSU Safe Ride
- OSU Office of Greek Life
- OSU Intercollegiate Athletics
