Counseling and Psychological Services provides counseling, consultation, outreach and education to OSU students, faculty, and staff. We do this in order to facilitate student’s academic success, mental health, and personal development and to promote a culture of positive mental health at OSU.

The roles we take on at CAPS are varied:  we are healers, teachers, consultants, mentors, and scientists.  And in these various roles, we go about conducting the good work that makes up our day-to-day operations.  We counsel students, conduct outreach and education activities, consult with our colleagues across the campus, train new members of our profession, and conduct scholarly inquiry.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is pleased to announce it is now offering after-hours crisis telephone counseling services. To access a counselor after hours (weekends, holidays, before 8:00 or after 5:00 on the weekdays), call our main number, 541-737-2131 and you’ll be able to speak to a licensed mental health counselor.

If this is an emergency, please call 911 or emergency services in your area.
