Powdery Mildew and Botrytis Bunch Rot are two economically important fungal pathogens in Oregon and vineyards worldwide. The 2007 growing season was a difficult one for vineyards throughout Oregon due to high pressure and incidence of both powdery mildew and botrytis.

To help the industry understand disease management in the vineyard and the techniques that work, Oregon State University Viticulture Extension will be presenting this one-day workshop investigating the pathogen life cycle, disease infestation and vineyard management practices of powdery mildew and botrytis.

Keynote Speakers:

Two expert plant pathologists,
Dr. Wayne Wilcox of Cornell and
Dr. Gary Grove of Washington State University, will be presenting results of their extensive research programs on vineyard management of these two fungal pathogens.

An industry panel of growers will discuss the management practices that have been successful for them.
