Pre-Conference Tours

A number of pre-conference tours are currently being organized, starting on Wednesday, August 8th. The current schedule for pre-conference tours is:

Wednesday, August 8th:
Columbia Gorge Sightseeing Tour: $60/per person
This tour goes on the Historic Highway to Crown Point and to Multnomah Falls. You will also stop at a couple of other waterfalls, the Bonneville Dam and the Fish Hatchery. The tour length is approximately 4.5 hours and includes a boxed lunch. There must be a minimum number of 20 participants for this tour to take place.

Thursday, August 9th:
Mt. St. Helen's Sightseeing Tour: $95/per person
This tour stops at all the visitors centers on Mt. St. Helens, including the Johnson Ridge Observatory. The tour length is approximately 9 hours and includes a boxed lunch. There must be a minimum number of 20 participants for this tour to take place.

Friday, August 10th:
Trip to the World Pear Collection in Corvallis, Oregon and dinner at Willamette Valley Vineyards: $100/per person
This tour starts out in Portland and takes you to the World Pear Collection at the USDA National Clonal Gerplasm Repository that is located just outside of Corvallis, Oregon. Enjoy dinner at Willamette Valley Vineyards on the return to Portland. The tour length is approximately 9 hours and includes a boxed lunch and dinner.

Saturday, August 11th:
Oregon Coast Sightseeing Tour: $85/per person
This tour takes you along Highway 26, a tribute to the logging industry. You'll visit the largest Sitka Spruce tree in the United States and stop at Cannon Beach where you can enjoy the shops, galleries and restaurants. You'll also get to view Haystack Rock, go to the Neahkanie Overlook and stop at the Tillamook Cheese Factory on the way back to Portland. The tour lenght is approximately 9 hours and includes a boxed lunch. There must be a minimum number of 20 participants for this tour to take place.

Sunday, August 12th:
Portland City Sightseeing Tour: $45/per person
This tour takes you to Old Town/China Town, through Downtown and the waterfront, up to Washington Park and the International Rose Test Garden and the West Hills/Hoyt Arboretum. You will also be able to tour the Classical Chinese Gardens.

Please plan your travel to Portland accordingly in order to participate in any/all of these pre-conference tours. More information on the tours will be added soon, so please check back.
