Course Description This workshop will introduce participants to many of the key tools of quality control – brainstorming, Pareto charts, checksheets, flowcharts, cause-and-effect diagrams, design of experiments and statistical process control (SPC). Particular emphasis will be given to SPC. Participants will work 'hands on' to gain first-hand experience using the tools introduced in the course.

Registration will be open soon! The cost for the workshop is $350. Your registration fee includes:
- - Workshop Materials (Excel files, electronic versions of handouts)

- - Lunch on both days of the workshop
Cancellation Policy:
If for some reason you will not be able to attend the Quality Control in Wood Products Manufacturing Workshop, a cancellation request will need to be made in writing (via email or regular mail) on or before 5pm PST on Thursday, November 1, 2012. Cancellation requests made by that date are eligible for a full refund of the registration fees (minus an administrative fee of $35). Requests for refunds after the cancellation cut-off date will not be granted, however substitutions will be allowed. Please contact conferences@oregonstate.edu with the substitutes name and other information.
Accommodations:
A block of rooms have been set aside at OSU's headquarter hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn, for a special group rate of $114 per night + 10% tax. The special room rate will be available until October 19th or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first.
