Course Description
This workshop will introduce participants to many of the key tools of quality control – brainstorming, Pareto charts, checksheets, flowcharts, cause-and-effect diagrams, design of experiments and statistical process control (SPC). Particular emphasis will be given to SPC. Participants will work 'hands on' to gain first-hand experience using the tools introduced in the course. Space is limited to 28 people – so register now!

Registration is now open! The cost for the workshop is $350. Your registration fee includes:

Cancellation Policy:
If for some reason you will not be able to attend the Quality Control in Wood Products Manufacturing Workshop, a cancellation request will need to be made in writing (via email or regular mail) on or before 5pm PST on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Cancellation requests made by that date are eligible for a full refund of the registration fees (minus an administrative fee of $35). Requests for refunds after the cancellation cut-off date will not be granted, however substitutions will be allowed. Please contact conferences@oregonstate.edu with the substitutes name and other information.
Accommodations:
A block of rooms have been set aside at OSU's headquarter hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn, for a special group rate of $114/night + 10% tax. The special room rate will be available until October 17th or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first.
