Wine Tour: Enjoy sampling world class Pinot Noir and other varietals from the Willamette Valley. The history of modern winemaking in the Willamette Valley dates back 40 years when three UC Davis refugees believed Oregon’s Willamette Valley would be an ideal place to raise cool season wine grape varieties. Today that belief has become reality and visitors comment that this wine region rivals Burgundy, France in the production of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer. This tour will visit several wineries as well as enjoy a lovely lunch all within a couple hours drive in the beautiful Oregon countryside. Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, and the Jensen Arctic Museum:
The Jensen Arctic museum is the only museum on the west coast that is dedicated wholly to the arctic culture. The museum's collections include art, tools, apparel and information about indigenous arctic people. The Jensen Arctic Museum lends an appreciation for both the culture and ingenuity of a People who blended into a difficult and often unforgiving arctic environment. From here you will travel to the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, home of the Spruce Goose. Dreams of flight have captured the imaginations of children and adults alike for centuries. Captain Michael King Smith had a fascination with flight that began in childhood and continued throughout his short life. Captain Smith’s fierce dedication and passion for flying led to his dream of an aviation museum unlike any other – a living museum that celebrates aviation’s rich history, honors the patriotic service of our veterans and offers enlightening educational programs in aviation.
