Invited Speaker Guidelines:

1. Speakers must limit their presentations to 30-35 minutes with 5-10 minutes discussion for a total allocation of 45 minutes maximum. We emphasize that it is important that the time limits be adhered to in order for the schedule to proceed.

2. Symposium speakers will make their presentations in the LaSells Stewart Center, Austin Auditorium which seats 1200 or the Construction & Engineering Auditorium which seats 200.

3. It is important that your presentation format is compatible with our projection system.  We suggest that you e-mail us your presentation as an attachment, which will allow us to load it and pretest it.  We fully understand that this is your intellectual property and agree not to distribute it and will delete it after your presentation.  Alternatively, you may bring a CD or a USB “Jump drive” device with your presentation on it.  Time permitting we will pretest your presentation.

4. All invited speakers should provide a presentation abstract with key points as well as a short personal bio for use in the pre-proceedings. This material is due no later than March 1, 2007.

Poster Abstract Guidelines:

1. Abstract submissions are considered for poster presentation only.

2. Only original research relating to the symposium theme of the biochemical, cancer prevention and health properties of berry fruits will be considered.

3. Each abstract will be peer reviewed for scientific content and merit of the research.

4. Abstracts should not be submitted if the research represented by the abstract has already been accepted for publication in a journal.

5. If you submit an abstract, you must be prepared to discuss essential details of your methods and results.

6. Abstracts must be received through electronic submission to the poster abstract review committee by May 1, 2007. Submitting authors will be notified of acceptance by May 1, 2007. Photocopies, facsimile, or e-mail copies will not be accepted and will be discarded.

7. Hand-carry your poster to the meeting. Do not mail it to us. Pushpins and/or Velcro will be available to mount your poster. Posters are to be in place at the beginning of the symposium and remain until the symposium concludes.
