Travel Awards

The American Society for Virology sponsors a limited number of awards to help defray travel costs to the annual meeting. The following individuals may qualify for these awards:

• Graduate students studying virology
• Postdoctoral fellows studying virology
• Medical virology fellows or junior faculty
• Teachers of undergraduate students
• Latin American virology scholars

Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows must be members of ASV or have applied for membership by January 31, 2007 to be eligible for these awards. Award applications are included in the meeting brochure mailed to ASV members (November 2006). ASV membership forms are available from Download Center or the ASV web site. The deadline for submission of award applications is January 31, 2007. Award recipients will be notified in writing before the meeting by the ASV Secretary-Treasure's office. Typically, awards are distributed to recipients at the meeting.
