The Community Service Center, established in 2002, emerged from The Volunteer Clearinghouse, a student organization, and Student Involvement leadership and vision. From 2002 through 2005 undergraduate students, graduate assistants from the College Student Services Administration (CSSA), and a professional faculty member from Student Involvement who focused on leadership and Community Service laid the foundations of the Community Service Center.
