Academic Distinction for Undergraduates
If your OSU GPA is 3.50 or above, you will graduate with academic distinction and are entitled to wear an honor cord over your gown. GPAs of 3.50 to 3.69 are Cum Laude and wear orange cords. GPAs of 3.70 to 3.84 are Magna Cum Laude and wear gold cords. GPAs of 3.85 and above are Summa Cum Laude and wear white cords. You can buy your honor cord at the OSU Bookstore.
