Minor
Women Studies Minor
The Minor in Women Studies facilitates systematic study of feminist knowledge. It provides the exploration of gender as a focal point of analysis in determining differentials of power and opportunity, and recognizes the interaction of gender with a complex matrix of such fundamental categories as race, ethnicity, religion, class, sexual identity, age, physical appearance, and mental or physical ability. Students are expected to take the bulk of their coursework toward the Minor from core and elective courses offered by the Women Studies Program. A total of 27 credits is required for the Minor, with at least 12 of these credits at the upper division level.
Core Requirements (18 credits):
-
WS 223 Women: Self and Society
-
WS 224 Women: Personal and Social Change

WS 410 Internship 3 credits minimum
-
