The Manuel Pacheco Award for Excellence in the Study of Diversity and Social Justice is given in the memory of Manuel Pacheco, a former faculty member and scholar in the area of multicultural and global philosophy.  (pictured right) 

 

The award is presented to a graduate or undergraduate who has distinguished themselves in the courses the department teaches with a concentration on diversity and social justice issues and who has advanced the goals of diversity and social justice in the community.  The winner receives $100 and a framed certificate.
