Psychology Name Change and Move to Reed Lodge

 

There are a couple of items of which Psychology students need to be aware.

First, the name of Psychology has been officially changed to the School of Psychological Science. This was done for several reasons, among them a desire to emphasize the scientific basic of the OSU program. Nothing about the major (including its name) has changed.

Second, Psychology is in the process of changing its location to Reed Lodge, which is on the corner of Jefferson and 30th, across Jefferson from Sackett Hall. This move is planned to take place in two phases. The first, smaller phase occurred the week of Aug. 01, 2012. It includes the offices of Drs. Edwards, Kerr, Sanchez, Petty, Hu, Klubnik, and Kleronomous. Of particular importance to all of you, it also includes the main psych office and advising. This means that beginning Thursday, Aug. 2, all main office and advising functions are in Reed Lodge, not Moreland Hall. You will go there for advising appointments. All of our phone numbers and emails remain the same.

Assuming everything goes as planned, the rest of the department (School) will move Summer 2013. Note that until then, all of the current laboratories and psychology classrooms are remaining in place as are most of the faculty offices.
