POLITICAL SCIENCE MINOR REQUIREMENTS

Welcome to the Department of Political Science. As a student at Oregon State University minoring in Political Science, you should consult the following materials when developing your program of study:

  1. Oregon State University Bulletin: General Catalog
  2. Schedule of Classes PLEASE NOTE: The printed schedule of classes is not always current. You can find a more reliable schedule on the Web. Consult the OSU Home Page at http://catalog.oregonstate.edu/SOC.aspx?level=undergrad. Enter the term, then select the department from the dropdown list.
  3. Political Science Home Page at http://oregonstate.edu/cla/polisci/. Follow the links to the Advising Pages.

HOW TO ARRANGE A POLITICAL SCIENCE MINOR

If your major is in the College of Liberal Arts, you should notify the CLA Advising office that you are going to minor in Political Science. They will help you with the proper paperwork to list the minor on your transcript. This will also assure that we are sent an audit during the term you are planning to graduate. Minors are listed on transcripts but are not listed on diplomas. If you are a major in another college, it is your responsibility to check with your major advisor regarding listing a Political Science minor on your transcripts. You must also bring in a copy of your transcript to the Political Science department at least one term before you plan to graduate. Your transcript will be checked by a faculty advisor to verify that you will have all the classes you need in time to graduate with a Political Science minor. Contact the Political Science office (ph. 541/737-2811 or email polisci@oregonstate.edu) for assistance in locating a faculty advisor.
