Eric Sorenson

Eric Sorenson, Summer/Fall Internship, field organizer in Linn, Lane, and Benton counties for the Committee for OUR Oregon.

"Working for the Committee for OUR Oregon has been a very challenging experience. Never having worked for a political campaign, this experience has helped me develop better communication skills, organizational skills, confidence, and contacts that may benefit me throughout the rest of my life. Taking on the job of field organizer for Linn, Lane, and Benton counties has given me an opportunity to help educate these communities about three very harmful measures (91, 93, and 8). Being a student at Oregon State University and knowing the value of higher education first led me to accepting the position. After learning how destructive these three measures could be, not only for college students but for most Oregonians, I realized I would be doing a great service to this state by taking up the fight to defeat measures 91, 93, and 8."

Demarcus Ross

"As an intern this summer I spent part of the time fighting forest fires in Montana. It was a very unique and challenging experience you would have to see to believe. This is a picture of a forest fire on a mountain about 90 miles north of West Yellowstone in Montana."
