Political Science offers pre-law advising to students of all majors. There is no specific "Pre-Law Major" program at OSU. Students wanting to be competitive candidates for admission to law school need to pursue undergraduate studies—in whichever major they choose—that teach them analytical thinking skills, critical thinking skills, logical reasoning skills, and writing skills. Please review the pre-law bulletin board in the Gilkey Hall 3rd floor hallway for information. The College of Liberal Arts also offers a Pre-Law guide through their website.

The Pre-Law Society is designed to promote pre-law educational opportunities at OSU and to assist OSU's pre-law students. The group promotes networking of community groups with campus organizations to share a common interest in the law and to exchange information and resources. All interested students, from all departments and pre-law programs at OSU, are encouraged to join this group. Political Science Professor Rorie Solberg serves as the Faculty Advisor for the Pre-Law Society.
Days and times of meetings change each term and are advertised in the Barometer. Click here to join the Pre-Law Society listserv to receive updates and information.
