- OSU's student newspaper, the Daily Barometer, has interviewed Political Science student Bryan Williamson about his work with the Americans with Disabilities Act, including an effort to organize a cross country bike ride to benefit the Push America charity.
- Political Science students Addie Vigran and Alfonc Rakaj were recognized for both their academic achievements and their work of service to the OSU community with the College of Liberal Arts Outstanding Seniors Award.
- The Political Science program was represented at the 2013 West Coast Model EU competition in Seattle. The team won two of the eight awards given out – an honorable mention for the Head of State and for the Minister of the Interior. There were 31 teams present from 15 universities in 7 US states as well as two teams from Canada. We were tied with UW and BYU for winning the most awards.
The students who won awards were Niklas Ehrentreich (who was the Prime Minister of Denmark) and Samantha Houghton (who was the Interior Minister of Estonia). Other participating students include Michael Bunker, Nicholai Rosoff, Trenton Melby, and Kendra Swafford. Faculty supervisors were Sarah Henderson and Allison Johnston.
- Political Science Students Compete in the 2011 West Coast Model European Union. Six Political Science students competed in the 2011 West Coast Model European Union hosted by the University of Washington’s European Union Center of Excellence, February 18-19, 2011 in Seattle. The teams represented Greece, Malta and Slovakia. Sarah Henderson supervised and accompanied the students. Below, our OSU PS students are pictured with the Hungarian Ambassador to the U.S.
