Undergraduate Programs
The Applied Ethics Certificate is a program of study that provides undergraduate students with a systematic and thorough understanding of the moral world for their civic, professional and personal lives. Interdisciplinary by design, it builds on ethics courses taught in the Department of Philosophy and on courses with ethics-related content found throughout the University. Paired with an academic or pre-professional major, the Certificate offers a balanced, comprehensive program that will provide students with a sound base of technological and scientific knowledge and an understanding of moral complexities in their field. This certificate is open to undergraduates in conjunction with any undergraduate degree program at Oregon State University.
The Peace Studies Program is principally an undergraduate, upper division certificate program, although graduate students may earn a Peace Studies certificate. If you need further information, please don't hesitate to contact Lois Robertson in the main office. She will give you the contact information for one the Philosophy Department's undergraduate advisors to set up an appointment.
