Zapotec Woman's statement

Dr. Devon Peña's lecture addressed the concept of the commons as it is lived out among immigrant cultures in the United States. He used the example of the South Central Farm project in Los Angeles, California, to illustrate his idea that the commons encompasses social and cultural communities as well as forests and other wild lands.

Dr. Joseph Orosco of the Philosophy Department at Oregon State University introduced Dr. Devon Peña to the audience.
