Siobhan Baggot, D.V.M., (MAIS in Philosophy, 2003). Siobhan is a practicing veterinarian and teaches at the Oregon State School of Veterinary Medicine.
Willan Cervantes, (MAIS in Philosophy, 2006). Willen works for Chemeketa Community College (since 2001) under the federally funded Workforce Investment Act. His position title is "Retention Specialist." He works with individuals who have participated in the progam who have become employed through the assistance of the program, by removing barriers: Single Mom, Limited English, Lack of Marketable Skills, Criminal Record, Low Academic Standing, etc.
June (Hsiao-Fang) Huang, (MAIS, primary and secondary field in Human Services/Clinical/Applied and Developmental/ Personality/ Social Psychology with a third field in Philosophy, 2003). She is now a counselor in Taiwan, working with people with physical disfigurements.
Gregory Jones (MAIS in Philosophy 2000). Greg is a GED instructor for Lane Community College. He students include inmates at the Lane County Jail. He loves what he does, includes philosophy in his courses and continues to read and study.
Francesca Marcus, (MAIS 2004 with a minor in Anthropology). While in grad school, Francesca was working at Garfield Elementary School as a teacher's assistant, helping students with disabilities. Now she is teaching at a Montessori school and teaching Biomedical Ethics at Camden Community College in New Jersey.
Christian Matheis, (MA, Applied Ethics - 2004). Christian used his work experience with the Difference, Power, and Discrimination Program at OSU to land a position as assistant director of the LGBTA Student Resources Center at Penn State University.
Ashwini Prasad, (MAIS in Philosophy and Sociology, 2004). Ashwini is completing her MA thesis in philosophy at the University of Oregon on June 17, 2006. Her thesis is entitled, "Gandhi: Hinduism, Non-Violence and His Ethical Perspectives." She is now headed to Portland to enter an MBA program at the University of Portland and a move towards an applied ethics career.
Denis Sather (MAIS in Philosophy, 2002): Denis is an administrator of the Oregon State University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). He works with the IACUC and the OSU Office of Sponsored Programs.
Jeffrey Sellars, (MAIS in Philosophy/Religious Studies, 2003). Last we heard, Jeff is living in California and teaching in religion at a prep school.
Roni Sue (MA, Applied Ethics, 2006): Roni is now using the fruits of her education as the Program Associate with the DPD Department (Difference, Power & Discrimination) on the OSU campus.
Mavis Tuten (MAIS in Philosophy, 2003): Mavis is the risk manager at Albany General Hospital, Albany, OR. She indicates her background in ethics and philosophy is important in her position.
Tony Vogt (MAIS 1973): Tony is married to Lisa and continues to teach as an instructor in the OSU Department of Philosophy. His courses include World Views and Environmental Values and Native American Philosophies. Tony has also worked as an assistant to Prof. Kathleen Dean Moore for the Spring Creek Project for Nature, Ideas, and the Written Word.
Patrick Williams (MAIS in Philosophy, 2003): Patrick is teaching full-time in Philosophy and Religion at Chemeketa Community College in Salem. Patrick recently married Sara in June 2005.
