As a professor at Oregon State, particularly in our new media program, my job is to make sure that students who are acquiring skills that allow them to create media content of all different kinds, also acquire a sense of responsibility for what it means to use media in these ways, and also prepares them to make good choices about the media they consume in their lives, not merely the content that they produce professionally. And so it’s my job to add another dimension to the experience of studying media here at Oregon State, not simply again as a producer but also as a consumer of media throughout your life.
