Ken Saul, principal trumpet with the Corvallis-OSU Symphony, received the Bachelor of Music in Performance from San Francisco State University, where he studied with Joseph Alessi, Sr. He continued his music studies in composition at SFSU and at the Juilliard School. Ken also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management. He is a senior engineer at Hewlett-Packard and is an instructor of trumpet at OSU.

Ken gives frequent clinics on brass playing and has soloed with the Corvallis-OSU Symphony, the Willamette Valley Symphony, the OSU Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Willamette Valley Concert Band, and in various recitals.
