The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is an auditioned performance group consisting of the finest wind players and percussionists on campus. Performers come from a variety of disciplines from across campus, including music, electrical engineering, animal science and microbiology; and hail from many cities in Oregon and from as far away as Virginia Beach, Virginia and Taipei, Taiwan. The ensemble is directed by Christopher Chapman, conductor-in-residence for the Oregon State University Department of Music.
