Oregon native Peter Ellefson, joined the faculty of Indiana University in 2002, during which time he has performed with the Chicago Symphony, New York Philharmonic, the Indianapolis Symphony, Proteus 7 and the New York Philharmonic Brass Quintet. Mr. Ellefson was a member of the Seattle Symphony for 10 years, performing and recording on alto and tenor trombone, bass trumpet and tenor tuba. He also served as principal trombonist for Seattle Opera's productions of Wagner's Des Ring der Nibelung. In addition to Indiana University, Mr. Ellefson is the associate teacher at the Alessi Seminar and is currently an adjunct faculty member at the University of Costa Rica and teaches at The Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, CA. Mr. Ellefson plays Bach trombones and is an artist for Conn-Selmer, Inc.
