CALL FOR PAPERS

The Undergraduate Research Conference gives students an opportunity to present their research projects to an audience of faculty and peers. It is a terrific way to share your hard work, practice public speaking skills in a low-stress environment, have a professional-like academic experience, and engage intellectually with other students. If you've written a historical research paper (recommended length, 7 pages) this year, please consider presenting at the conference. There is no specific topic for the conference, so any paper that you would like to share will be accepted. Workshops will be available to assist students in preparing their presentations.

To help you prepare, HSA will also be hosting a workshop on how to turn academic research papers into engaging and interesting academic presentations.   (The dates for the prep workshop will be announced soon.)

The deadline to sign up to present at the conference is Tuesday May 1st.   Send an email with your topic, abstract, and contact information to either Emily Schwab (schwabe@onid.orst.edu) or Emma Fish (fishe@onid.orst.edu) with your contact information and topic.

NOTE:  You do not have to be a History student or major to participate in this conference!
