Local Child Care Resources

There are many child care options in our community, with Child Care Centers and Family Child Care Providers the most common options. All Child Care Centers must be licensed and Family Providers can either be Certified, Registered or Exempt. To learn more about what each of these designations means, click here.

A good contact for child care reference resources is Family Connections which is our local Child Care Resource & Referral Agency (CCRR) and is located on the Linn-Benton Community College campus in Albany.  Their trained specialists can help you find child care, usually within a day or two. They are your best resource for finding child care in the community.

Specifically, they provide:

  • Referrals for parents looking for care
  • Training opportunities
  • Support and problem solving
  • How to start and manage a child care business

They can be reached at 541-917-4899 or 1-800-845-1363

E-mail: connect@linnbenton.edu

6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany, OR 97321.

OSU Students and Employees can now access Care.com without having to pay a membership fee.

Care.com is an online resource for finding child care, babysitting, elder care, pet sitting, houskeeping services; and provides a search for local and other care providers.

Go to http://care.com/osu and create an account with your ONID e-mail address.  Your membership

will be FREE, because OSU is paying for it!
