Represent Accelerated Genetics at numerous functions including conventions, dairy shows and Young Producer activities. Interview dairy producers and industry professionals and write feature articles for Genetic Trends. Research and write news releases. Marketing Interns Locations To Be Named Individuals will develop skills in artificial insemination and will provide relief service for assigned technicians. Responsible for doing marketing penetration studies and help with area marketing meetings. Additionally they will assist with sire and daughter photography and take pictures of animals and exhibitors at county fairs. Interns will be trained in A.I. breeding, previous experience is advantageous, but not required. Duties: The intern will teach environmental education to teenagers in the Outdoor Classroom. The specific tasks will include:
1. Teaching youth about the importance of the environment. They will teach youth about the importance of water quality by taking water samples bi-weekly and study pond life.
2. Growing organic vegetables and flowers from around the globe to show youth how people have more in common than differences.

Position Title: Fisheries Science Internship
Duties: Are you looking for the adventure of a life time... a chance to gain hands-on experience in the field of fisheries biology... to work with abundant populations of Pacific salmon... to study native populations of rainbow trout, Arctic grayling, and char in the wilds of Alaska? Current projects include monitoring salmon runs using fish weirs, towers, and digital video equipment; conducting abundance estimates of resident fish species; documenting fish movement using radio telemetry; sampling water quality in rivers and lakes; and performing fish habitat inventories. Interns will be stationed at various locations throughout the state, including remote sties in the Alaskan bush. Travel to field camp is primarily by air, using small wheel and float planes, or by boat. Please not that these internships are for the adventurous as weather, an abundance of biting insects, and remote living conditions can be quite challenging. This rare opportunity to work with intact assemblages of native fish species, however, while surrounded by abundant wildlife and pristine wilderness, will more than compensate the tolerant individual. Interns will also be receive training in firearms safety, bear behavior, motor boat operations, fisheries field techniques, etc prior to being sent in the field.

Pay: Although the positions are volunteer, round-trip airfare (from the nearest port of entry for non-US citizens), food and lodging, various field equipment, and about $3/day for incidental expenses will be provided.

Position Title: Wildlife Rehabilitation Internship
Duties: These are working internships, with an emphasis on gaining hands-on experience of many aspects of wildlife rehabilitation from rescue to release. Our interns work with experienced staff members to learn diets, food preparation, feeding and handling techniques for a wide variety of wildlife species, ranging from small songbirds to marine mammals such as harbor seal pups. They have the opportunity to work with both injured adults and orphaned young animals at each stage of their care and rehabilitation.
Qualifications: Most interns come from Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Wildlife Biology, or Wildlife Management fields.
