Outreach Request Form

Request A Presentation:
If you are interested in having Career Services present to your student organization or class, please fill out the form below and click the submit button. Please give two weeks prior notice so that we may process and fulfill your request. We will respond to you within two business days of your request to make arrangements. You may also be interested in attending one of the currently scheduled presentations in Career Services.

Possible topics include:
o General Overview of our services
o Resume & Cover Letter Writing
o Effective Interviewing Skills
o Job Searching Strategies
o Other topics may be possible depending upon preferences of the group and time to develop the presentation. The General Overview takes about 25 minutes. Resume & Cover Letters, Interviewing Skills and Job Searching each take approximately 1 hour.

Don't Cancel Class! If at some point during the year a faculty/staff member needs to cancel a class due to a meeting or conference, DON'T CANCEL CLASS! One of our Career Counselors can come to your class or your class can come to Career Services and we will conduct a career seminar for your students on the day you will be out. Please call Career Services at 541-737-4085 and speak to Carrie Coplan (or send email to carrie.coplan@oregonstate.edu).

Classroom Assignments: If you would like to refer students to our office as part of an assignment, please call Carrie Coplan at 541-737-0529 (or send email to carrie.coplan@oregonstate.edu) to let us know the details of the assignment. We want to ensure a positive experience for your students.

When and Where? For presentations outside of those regularly scheduled, Career Services staff will work with your group to meet at a time and location that is convenient. We invite your group to come to Career Services for presentations in order to have the opportunity to show students our resources; however, we are happy to conduct our presentations at other locations on campus.
