1. What should I expect on the day of my interview?

Check in at the Career Services front desk. At that time, you will be given a tour of our office, and shown to your interview room. There, you will find the following: Career Services Information, OSU Information and lunch appointment information if applicable.


2. What if I need to cancel my interview?

3. How do I find your office and a place to park?

We are located in the Kerr Administration Building.


4. What majors do you have at OSU?

We have a large number of majors that will help you to find that perfect student. The OSU Colleges and Departments page is a good resource to learn about the Colleges and Departments.

To post a position at OSU, go to our Job Posting site.

 

8. How do I get resumes from OSU Students?

We offer a service called "Resume Match" matching our students to certain criteria that you request. For more information on this please contact Kathleen Lillis at 541-737-4085 or e-mail Kathleen Lillis or click here for our online form.

 

9. How do I get my information to you to give to students?

Please mail any CD's, videos, brochures, applications or materials for an information binder to Cheryl Herring, Employer Services Coordinator, Career Services, 8 Kerr Administration Building, Corvallis, OR 97331-2127, e-mail: Cheryl.L.Herring. During the academic year in which you participate in events on campus, your company literature can be made available in our Career Services Library. In addition, facilities are available for students to view your company videos, CD's, and web pages.

 

10. Types of Citizenship?

An International student on a Student Visa is only eligible to sign up for interviews with companies whose positions listings state "Student Visa". These students are considered a non-resident and are restricted according to their visa type. Most students on a student visa may receive permission to work on a limited basis such as an internship. A permanent resident is considered in the same status as a US citizen and able to work in any situations.

 

11. Where are the airports and how long does it take to get there?

Approaching from the Portland airport (2 hours travel)
Take hwy. 205 to I-5 South (towards Salem)
From Salem, continue South on I-5 to Hwy. 34, the Corvallis exit
Take a right from this exit and continue to Corvallis about 12 miles


Approaching from the Eugene Airport (40 minutes travel)
Take Hwy. 99W North through Junction City towards Monroe
Continue from Monroe North to Corvallis
Continue into Corvallis to Jefferson. Turn left to campus

 

12. How do I reach student organizations?

Oregon State University Student Involvement is the best starting point to reach student organizations.
