Brittany Hoover
My Role at OSU:
I am a graduate student in the College Student Services Administration program, graduate assistant in Career Services, and ally to all.
My Career Path:
I am a recent graduate of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, where I majored in Pop Musicology and Media Literacy Studies. I came to OSU to pursue a degree in higher education administration with the hope of one day working on a college campus with students in some advising capacity.
The Rewards in Doing what I do:
I love to hear about student’s accomplishments, goals and dreams and help them to find a way to channel their passion and energies into a rewarding career. I see my job as more than career development, but life development as well – and it is really gratifying to be part of that process!
My Words of Wisdom to Students:
My advice to be open to new ideas, say yes to opportunities you never thought you would, and always be prepared to stumble accidentally into your perfect job!
"History is made in unexpected ways, by unexpected people,
with unexpected results."
