Welcome Bailey to the group!

Bailey Murphy

New member: Bailey joined the bmM group this winter term to participate in and support the carbon cycle research conducted in Watershed 1 of the HJ Andrews Experimental forest and the AmeriFlux Mature Ponderosa Pine site. She will work on quantifying soil respiration as a function of season, position, and soil properties such as temperature, moisture, pH, etc. within the forest ecosystems. Particularly Watershed 1 at the HJA is characterized by a large degree of spatial variabilty, which may lead to significant systematic differences between the North- and South facing slopes. Bailey is currently a junior at OSU in the Environmental Sciences program with a concentration in land-air interaction. Most of her research during the internship will be conducted during the coming spring and summer. Welcome Bailey, we are excited to have you join the team!
